Los Angeles Archbishop José H. Gomez celebrated the second pilgrimage Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe today in the presence of 140 faithful of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (bilingual homily follows).

No doubt you have heard about family separation, the zero-tolerance policy, and attempts to severely constrain asylum law. Archbishop Gomez and several of his fellow bishops were able to visit Catholic Charities’ Humanitarian Respite Center in McAllen, Texas, and met with migrants who are living at the center.
